Bryce Canyon – Day #1 – After the trip from HELL last week (that I posed about), we finally arrived near Bryce Canyon last Wednesday. Friday morning we relocated just outside the entrance and boondocked again.(free camping with NO connections) We actually had no cell service, too! Our MiFi hotspot didn’t work and all I could do was sporadically send a text message. Just after we got all set up, our refrigerator then had “husband” issues, as we called it. After 3 hours of troubleshooting a problem that really wasn’t there, we got the fridge back on and were finally able to get out and about. My oldest son, Bryce, is actually named after Bryce Canyon, so this was a very important trip for us . We always told him we would visit one day, but we had no idea it would be like this and this soon. It was very surreal. We drove through the park and did the viewpoints and even a little hike just before the sunset. It was rather chilly, but we loved it. This place is so amazing and I already want to go back.
Bryce Canyon – Day #2 – After a much later start than we wanted Saturday morning, we ventured back into the park with LOTS of other people. After a quick visit to the Visitor’s Center, we decided on a particular hike that we wanted to do and set out. We hiked a total of 6 miles and the boys were awesome!! They loved it. We each carried our own backpack of stuff on the hike as we had dressed in layers. Not one complaint 🙂 It was amazing. Breathtaking. Unreal. The sky was so incredibly blue!! The views were spectacular. We ended the amazing day with a campfire and s’mores and then went to a ranger stargazing program that evening.. I couldn’t get enough of it and I already want to go back. There’s still SO much more to see and do!!
