For the 4th of July weekend, we were fortune enough to snag a beautiful spot on Diamond Lake in Oregon. Oh my gosh…..I could spent my entire life in Oregon! We had too little time there. Our campsite was a gorgeous, mosquito-infested, roomy spot not far from the lake. We spent the day kayaking and paddle boarding with mountains in view There really is NO OTHER way to paddle board!! On the night of the 4th, there was a spectacular fireworks show over Diamond Lake. The boys played and made new friends.
On July 5th we ventured into Crater Lake National Park. Oh my…….the intense and immense beauty of this place almost brought me to tears. It is an unbelievable experience. I just could not believe my eyes!!!!
Crater Lake is the fifth-oldest national park in the United States and the only national park in Oregon. Crater Lake is 1,943 feet deep. That makes it the deepest lake in the United States, and the ninth deepest lake in the world! We were all in awe of this place! Because of its serene beauty, it was very soul-soothing 🙂
What parks have you been to? What’s your favorite?
