Meet The Buoy Family
We’re the Buoy family and we welcome you to our nomadic lifestyle resource blog! We are currently living in our 5th wheel RV and traveling to see people and places. We started our journey in September of 2015 after we sold our house and most of our belongings in Orlando, FL.
Meet Mike – Geek Dad & Chief Adventure Officer

Daddy, lover of the outdoors, Christ follower, chief adventurer, sanitation engineer, first aid dude, IT department, all things RV guru. He supports, leads, loves and protects us well. He is the BEST father, friend and husband. He is the dreamer and visionary and keeps us all excited and going. Mike thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail back in 1996, camping in the woods for 6.5 months. The thirst for travel and adventure is in his blood!
Mike is gifted (yes, GIFTED) with ADD. This allows him to do so many things so well, including his job. We are so grateful that he is able to work from anywhere!! He is an excellent problem solver and thrives on learning new things. The ADD, as most people call it, provides its own set of unique opportunities for growth, aka challenges 🙂
Meet Ann – Organic Mama & Wellness Guru

Mommy, nurturer, dreamer, disciplined, Jesus follower, logistics manager, chef, chief dishwasher, nurse, homeschool educator, referee, health coach, essential oil educator, and too many more. I’m the voice behind all this craziness!! I’m the glue, bubble gum and duct tape that holds us all together. I actually love the laundromat since it’s a little downtime away from the craziness! LOL I can drive Marilyn(truck) like a boss and tow ChronicNomadness (RV) like I’m on a mission. I love helping others understand the healing powers of their own bodies after healing healing my own body from fibromyalgia. God doesn’t make junk!!
I struggle with keeping a clean house with three dirty boys. I dream one day of having a clean, organized space that stays that way. I have actually asked for a clean house for every Christmas, birthday, and anniversary since we’ve been on the road. And I’ll keep asking…..
Meet Bryce – Captain Random & Stinky Teenager

“Big B”, avid reader, well-actually guy, loves playing games with his friends on his Xbox. Bryce excels at school and is pretty self-sufficient in that area. He will get up in the morning and start his school work without being asked. He often times finishes before lunch. He is self-motivated. His love of books is amazing. He reads more books in a year that the other 3 of us combined! He never stops asking questions and his love for Jesus is so real. He is our old soul and rule-follower (most of the time). He is a huge hugger and very affectionate. We are blessed to be his parents.
Bryce LOVES to snowboard. It’s his favorite and we have a TON of fun on the slopes. He loves to mountain bike and is pretty good at it, too. He also enjoys rock climbing, trick scootering, kayaking, hiking, backpacking, swimming, geocaching and other outdoor stuff.
Meet Brooks – Free-Climbing Ninja

“Little b”, loves to climb, enjoys sharing about his 6-pack abs, loves arts and crafts. He is “training” to be an American Ninja Warrior one day. He is our animal whisperer. He could eat nothing but apples, but loves fruit in general. His emotional intelligence and ability to express himself are admirable. I’ve never seen a child be able to express himself in the way that he does. He is a dreamer and a creative. He is so distracted by everything and will be amazing at his craft one day because his mind is always thinking and creating. He has a hard time going to sleep and then loves to sleep in.
Brooks is an excellent rock climber and loves to snowboard like his brother. He also enjoys mountain biking, rip-sticking, skateboarding, kayaking, hiking, backpacking, swimming, geocaching, shooting BB guns and making anything out of cardboard.
